Furthermore, regulations in China and other major economies are in favour of the development and use of renewable energy. This means that there is a ready market for renewable energy products. VC firms can capitalise on this opportunity by helping in the commercialisation of renewable energy technologies. Despite the opportunities, VC firms face a number of risk including market adoption risk, people risk, regulatory risk, exit risk and technology risk. These risks can be mitigated by putting in place appropriate strategies.
